I'm half blind here in Miami Beach
Thanks to forgetting to put my contacts in solution, forgetting to pack extra contacts, and forgetting to pack glasses. I know, I forget a lot!

No, it's My Ami!
I’ve discovered that I am very much addicted to Tumblr. I am here in this huge, wonderful city of Miami Beach without a hint of available Wi-Fi. My uncle doesn’t have any, everyone around has locked networks, and we’re too high up to get the free Wi-Fi on the street. My mother’s here, so I don’t have permission to roam around, and we’re staying with my rather particular uncle, which means I can’t...

You know what makes me unnecessarily sad?
Not getting a Facebook invite to the staff reunion that I wasn’t planning on going to anyway…

…for me at least.
I’m going to recommence work on the independent Histology class which I began working on in July. I’m about 3/8 of the way done with that. Then there’s my American Litterature class online which I got to start early do to my study abroad adventures. First assignments for that aren’t due till next week, but I can go ahead and get started. I also got...

Early Christmas Present!
My mom went with me to the store to purchase a new laptop. It is not the super nice Mac I was hoping to buy myself upon graduation… but it’s a really nice, simple HP. Beggars can’t be choosers, and this beggar is really happy to have a computer after a long month without one!
I'm Christian, unless you're gay. →
It’s a message that has to stop. This guy’s got it! The challenge: to love the world and everyone in it unconditionally.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig
Hello Hendersonville, thanks so much for being here for me when school and travels are done.
The house is not as decorated as normal and Dad and Brother are gone far away to shoot animals, but it’s still home, it’s still Christmas, and I’m glad to be here for this little bit of time I have before voyaging to France.
I have a lot to do while here: work at Kanuga, raise...

MCDB PhD @ Pitt?
Today I took a convenient trip to the University of Pittsburgh to visit their Biology Department’s graduate program in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. Here’s what I thought:
The city: It’s rather gray. Lots of gray buildings, gray sky, gray people (outside on the streets that is). It probably doesn’t help that it was a rainy day in Western Pennsylvania,...

bailkay asked: I'm considering being a counselor at Crestridge this summer. What can you tell me about being a counselor and Crestridge/Ridgecrest life? (I've never been to Crestridge but I went to Girl Scout camp)

La Fin
Remember when, all those months ago when I first visited Miss Hanson in Monroe to see what all this YWAM business was about?
Remember when I spent all Christmas break writing my testimony, my life story en français?
Remember when I couldn’t imagine waiting a whole year in Buies Creek, without a summer at camp, before I could leave for France?
Remember when I thought this semester would...

Word on the street is that I get my computer back by Tuesday!
Some people, in the same room as me, care a little too much about the sports they are watching on tv.
